I decided to make a few things for Christmas this last year. I made each of the girls a magnet board with matching magnets. I used paper and Mod Podge...which I must say, I really love Mod Podge!
Fluffy's magnet board. I put both the girls full names in the top opening...I used Fotoflexer to cover them up to protect their identity...so, if you notice the top square above their picture looks a little odd...that is why!
Cinnamon's magnet board...
I decided to make pillowcases for the girls and the grandchildren. I am posting a couple of the pillowcases I made.
The past couple of years, I did the twelve days of Christmas for our older children and their families (I also did it for the girls...). This year, I decided to make countdown calendars for Christmas. I used muffin tins and put something different to do for each day. I must say, it was a lot of work for me, but the kids had a lot of fun with it! One of the days, we made gingerbread houses.
The two smaller ones are made with Graham crackers...
One of the muffin tin Christmas countdown calendars...I used my Expression to cut the circles and numbers...then I laminated them. I even used my Big Bite to punch the holes in the top of the tin!
A little different version...
I made magnets to give to friends and teachers...
These magnets are very fun and easy...I just love Mod Podge! They are made using a 1 1/2 inch wood circle (purchased at Hobby Lobby); paper punched with my 1 1/2 inch circle punch; the edges inked with my chestnut brown chalk inkpad; two layers of Mod Podge over the top; and of course a magnet glued on back with E-6000. I made cute containers from Altoid Tins to put them in, but I forgot to take a picture of them before giving them away...I will take pictures the next time I make them.
I made the each the girls a DVD with their pictures from birth...they love to watch themselves on TV. I had a great time selecting music to go with the pictures...each dvd was about 15 minutes long...
I made My Love his own little magnet board to take to work!
